Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take my insurance?

We accept most insurances, but it depends on whether you have a medical group and assigned PCP. The best way to confirm will be to show us a picture of your insurance card.

If you do not have a medical group or PCP, and your plan is in our “Health plans” list above, we should be able to take your insurance.

If one of our doctors is your assigned PCP, we can see you for primary care.

If your assigned PCP is not one of our doctors, we may still be able to see you for urgent care, if your medical group is in our “HMO – Urgent Care” list above.

How do I make TotalCare my primary care office?

Call your health plan using the customer service phone number on the back of your insurance card. Simply tell them you would like to change your PCP to one of our doctors, Jiangnan Wang (male) or Xiao-Ling Zhang (female). Changes can take up to a month to become effective.

What if I don't have insurance?

Not a problem! We offer self-pay rates of $80 for new patients and $60 for established patients. You can walk in anytime to be seen as a “cash” patient.

Do you take walk-ins for all insurances?

We wish we could, but unfortunately, not every insurance allows us to do so. We are contracted with some health plans for primary care only during regular business hours, and with other plans for both walk-ins and urgent care. The best way to confirm is to speak with our staff.

My medical group is not on your list. Can I still use my insurance?

You will need to change your medical group by calling your health plan. Tell them you would like to change your PCP to one of our doctors, and they will give you options for a new medical group. Changes can take a month to become effective.
